Lordsburg, NM/ Hidalgo County

On Wednesday July 5, 2017 around 4:16 p.m. the New Mexico State Police were dispatched to location near US 70 mile post 20 in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Officers located the vehicle which was unattended with all doors open, and footprints leading away from it.

Approximately a quarter mile from the vehicle a deceased female was located. The New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was contacted, arrived on scene and initiated their investigation.

This investigation is active and ongoing, there is no additional information available at this time.
