After the traditional Fourth of July parade through Silver City's downtown, each summer the Silver City Museum hosts an Ice Cream Social.
The social features, of course, cooling ice cream cones, and the annual cakewalk. Kids aren't forgotten. Several activities kept them occupied while their parents and grandparents ate ice cream and visited with friends in the shady courtyard.
