...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MDT THIS MORNING
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has

issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of south central New Mexico and
southwest New Mexico, including the following areas, in south
central New Mexico, the Sacramento Mountains. In southwest New
Mexico, Eastern Black Range Foothills, Southern Gila
Foothills/Mimbres Valley, Southern Gila Highlands/Black Range,
Southwest Desert/Lower Gila River Valley, Upper Gila River
Valley, and most of Hidalgo County.

* From 11 AM MDT this morning through Sunday morning

* Abundant moisture continues over the area as the monsoon pattern
is well underway.

* Arroyos may spill over their banks and cause flooding. Roadways
beyond typical low water crossings may flood. And in urban
areas, typical street flooding may be higher than normal and
lead to damage of structures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
