The Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center have teamed up to host the 2018 Grant County Business Expo. The Business Expo will take place next Tuesday – October 16 at the Grant County Business & Conference Center in Silver City.

The kick-off for this year’s Business Expo is a lunch with a guest speaker. The lunch consisting of lasagna, salad, vegetables and dessert will begin at 11:15 a.m. Our guest speaker presentation sponsored by Freeport-McMoRan will begin at 11:30.

Mr. Jerome Wade is an excellent speaker with a great message for small business owners and managers. His presentation is titled “UNLEASHED – How the best leaders create the results they want.” The cost for the meal and presentation is only $15.00 per person. You must pre-register for this event. You can register for the lunch presentation on the Chamber’s website (www.silvercity.org) or on the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page (www.facebook.com/SCGCChamber). For more information, call the Chamber of Commerce office at (575) 538-3785.

The Business Expo showcase will begin at 1:00 p.m. immediately after the lunch presentation. Booths representing Business Resource Partners from across southwest New Mexico will be present. You will have the opportunity to share information and have questions answered. The businesses represented at the booths are looking for ways to assist small businesses in our area. If your business would like to reserve a booth space, please call Mario LaFragola, SBDC Business Advisor, at 575.546.6556 Extension 4105. The cost for a booth space is free, and there is no cost for small business owners and managers to attend the Business Expo Showcase.

The Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center strive to assist local businesses in the southwest New Mexico area. Some of the companies that will be manning booths at the Business Expo Showcase will include banking and financial institutions, insurance companies, real estate offices, investment companies, and companies specializing in business services.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to connect with other successful business partners at the 2018 Grant County Business Expo on Tuesday – October 16 at the Grant County Business and Conference Center in Silver City, New Mexico.

The Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the dates for the 2018 Grant County Awards Banquet. The banquet will be held on Friday – November 16, 2018 at the Grant County Conference Center. Some of the awards that will be announced at the banquet will be the Grant County Citizen of the Year, Grant County Volunteer of the Year, Grant County Large and Small Businesses of the year, and the Linda K.
