Recently, the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce nominated State Representative Rebecca Dow to receive an award through the state-wide public-policy organization New Mexico First. The awards will be presented June 6 during the 2019 First Forum Lecture Series in Albuquerque at Popejoy Hall on the University of New Mexico campus. It was recently announced that Rebecca Dow will be presented the Spirit of Bipartisanship award during the ceremony. We nominated Representative Dow primarily due to her work fighting for our local mining industry. Congratulations Rebecca!

There are only a few seats left for the Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting on May 2. For our June 6 Chamber Lunch Meeting, we will host Paul Gessing, President of The Rio Grande Foundation. Paul will speak about the best things that happened during this past legislative session, as well as some of the bad things that may have lasting effects on New Mexico’s economic and political future.

If you have questions or simply need some information, give us a call at (575) 538-3785. I also invite you to stop by our office in the Grant County Conference Center. We look forward to visiting with you.
