"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

If you believe this first verse of the Bible, the rest of the Bible starts to add up.

The writers of the Bible reiterate many times that God is Creator. Jeremiah says He has made the earth by His power – He has established the world by His wisdom – (He) has stretched out the heavens at His discretion. David wrote that the heavens are the work of God’s fingers, Who also has ordained the moon and stars. John, in the Book of Revelation, states God created the heavens, the earth, and the sea, and the things that are in them.

Peter tells us the heavens and earth of old were created by God. Isaiah calls God the Creator of the ends of the earth. Mark says, cryptically, God created the beginning of creation. Paul, in the Book of Ephesians, declares God created all things. Shall I go on?

Not only is God creator, but Paul, in the Book of Colossians, explains that in Jesus, “all things consist.” That means the created universe continues to be held together by God’s power -- through His Son, Jesus.

If God created everything, if He is behind everything on earth and in the heavens, He deserves our thanks and praise, not to mention our adoration and worship, wouldn’t you say?

If God is Creator, wouldn’t it be wise to listen to what He has to say?

Here’s what God says: “God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us,” and, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.”
