Liberals love telling us how compassionate they are, especially while telling conservatives that we are cold hearted, uncaring, and want to see people die. Yet they are the ones most often calling for someone's death, harassing them in public, engaging in violent protests, and so on. You liberals think I'm wrong? Prove it.

With the mob marching through Mexico towards the U.S., supposedly seeking asylum and a better life, show us how deeply your compassion runs. We will go ahead and agree to let them into the U.S. with no vetting, no background checks. The only thing you have to agree to is to house them. We will bus them to communities where anyone with a 'standing on the side of love' or a Xochitl Torres-Small sign gets to invite them into their home. You can provide for their every need; food, clothing, healthcare, education. Let's see how many of you put your money where your 'principles' are.

You know why there is so much hatred in our national discourse? Because we can't laugh at each other anymore. Heck, we can't even 'appropriate' someone else's culture in our Halloween costumes anymore. When I dressed as an Indian, aka Native American, it was because I appreciated the values that I'd been told Indians espoused; bravery, love for nature... I thought it was a good thing. Race relations took huge steps forward during my childhood years, the 1960s and into the 70s partially because we could laugh at each other and see that we weren't all that different. Can you imagine someone trying to make "Blazing Saddles" or "Airplane" today? Not gonna happen.

As you listen to all these politicians promise you Medicaid for all (then deny they promised it, Torres-Small), remember what they told you before: the average health insurance premium will be reduced by $2500 a year; if you like your doctor, you'll keep your doctor; more people will be insured with lower costs and lower deductibles. Just remember as you re-enroll in your health plan this year; if you have a health plan.

Starbucks has opened their first store designed to cater specifically to deaf and hard of hearing customers. On the campus of Galudette University, which is for the deaf and hard of hearing. Every employee knows sign language; there are pads and pencils available for customers to write orders; picture menus on pads that customers can point to their selection. Heck, they don't even play music on the PA system; the manager says the music might interfere with the ability of customers to place an order. Really? They're deaf. Is it because they feel the beat of the bass and might start snapping their fingers and be unable to stop?
