Those of us that pay attention have known for a long time the truth about Washington D.C. politics; it's all about power and the pursuit of power. Many of us have watched up and coming conservative politicians, like Paul Ryan, Jeff Flake and others, give in to the power game and betray their principles and promises to get ahead. We knew, but we had no idea it was this bad.

Documents and statements have confirmed that James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and Peter Strzok conspired to entrap Michael Flynn. Comey has admitted that he encouraged McCabe and Strzok to make a casual visit to Flynn at the White House and interview him about several issues. Protocol requires the FBI to notify the White House staff and ask to interview any member of the President's staff. They deliberately preyed upon the naivete of President Trump and members of his staff.

Then they just happened to stop in and see Flynn, telling him that they wanted to chat. They didn't tell him that misleading an FBI agent during an investigation is perjury. In fact they told him not to get an attorney, he didn't need one. Both violations of a person's rights and violations of the law. They did this not only with Comey's knowledge but they discussed the strategy with him prior to the meetings. They knew they were violating the law and did so with intent.

Comey has now said on at least 2 occasions, while speaking to Democrat party supporters, that he knew the Steele Dossier had not be adequately vetted. He knew that it was likely false and he knew where it came from, who had paid for it and yet, he did not stop his agents from using it to obtain warrants from a FISA court judge.

And don't get me started on their statements about the Clinton email investigation. Put this all together and we have a picture that is undeniable and very clear; members of our government institutions tasked with enforcing our laws used their positions to further a political agenda.

These people have done what most communist, democrat socialist, and tyrannical despots have done; they used the law and their power to destroy their political opponents, putting many in prison on trumped up charges and convictions.

Our country has become a banana republic in waiting. Because the media, political elite of both parties have benefited from the way things are done, they have not only ignored what is happening, but they have misled the American lemmings.

But there is a revolution upon us. People are walking away from the Democrat party; the Republican elite have 'retired' because they've seen the mood of the population begin to change with the support of President Trump. We must continue to support his efforts to drain the swamp and demand that those who betray their promises, whether they are government employees or politicians, be held accountable. Our federal republic can be saved, but it is up to us to stay the course.
