HMS staff who participated included Matthew Dahlsten, LPCC, Johnny Flores, MA, Melissa Palmer, LPCC, Susan Peru, and April Sturdevant. Through directed staff coaching, the curriculum-driven and theory-based CET Program offered participants holistic rehabilitation orientation in a highly structured group setting.

As a certified Community of Treatment Site through the CET Program, HMS New Beginnings serves as an innovative and contemporary mental health care resource for clients, family members, funding organizations, and the community. "All of the graduates reported good results from the program," stated Neal Bowen, PhD, HMS Chief Mental Health Officer. Added Bowen, "The graduates have increased their ability to socialize, self-regulate and communicate." Added Melissa Palmer, LPCC, HMS Mental Health Counselor, "Program graduates expressed an interest in interacting with their communities in a more meaningful way, and also expressed hope for their success in doing so."
