j wyatt linesSilver City, NM (February 2, 2018) - Upon completing an extensive recruitment process, Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) is pleased to announce that J. Wyatt Lines, DMD, has been selected as the organization's Chief Dental Officer.

HMS Chief Executive Officer, Dan Otero, said: "We received a number of Chief Dental Officer applicants from across the country. However, Dr. Lines is a proven leader and HMS dental provider who is committed to providing excellent patient care. I am very proud to welcome him into the Chief Dental Officer role at HMS." Darrick Nelson, MD, HMS Chief Medical Officer and Family Medicine Residency Program Director added, "During the past few months as HMS' Interim Chief Dental Officer, and during his tenure with HMS as a Dentist, I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Lines. Wyatt has a true passion for providing comprehensive, integrated, and affordable care, while engaging other clinical professionals."

Lines has served as the primary Dentist at the HMS Lordsburg Clinic since October 2015. Prior to his career with HMS, the incoming Chief Dental Officer worked as a Dentist at the Arizona Department of Corrections. Lines grew up in Silver City, where his father, Paul Lines, DDS, MS, practiced as an oral surgeon. Lines earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, received his certificate in Public Health from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, and completed his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Lines proudly served as a support linguist for the 5th Special Forces Group, U.S. Army, and was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Lines and his wife, Jennica, who is completing her training to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, both view the Chief Dental Officer position as "a terrific opportunity" for their family - and the community - at this time in their lives. Lines has two children, Kai and Tully, and he looks forward to moving back to Silver City in the coming months.
