The Silver City Rotary Club's Valentine's Dinner at the Bear Mountain Lodge was not only a social event, but was also designed as a fundraiser in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grant County.

At a club meeting on March 27th, Mark Richard, the organizer of the event, presented a check from the fundraiser proceeds in the amount of $2,500 to Dawn Starostka, Big Brothers Big Sisters regional director. The Big Brothers Big Sisters program has only recently returned to Grant County, and Ms. Starostka expressed her thanks in behalf of the program for this big show of support.
