Brewer Hill Missionary Baptist Church, under Pastor Waldo Winborn is increasing its outreach, not only to the community and its residents, but also to feed the homeless on Sundays when other venues are not open

"We discussed how there is nothing available on weekends for the homeless to get a meal. We have steadily had four to six people each weekend working on the lunches. We hand them out on Sundays. We have given out as many as 16 on some weekend and as few as 12."

The church has a Wednesday Bible Study at 6:30 p.m., preceded by a potluck supper with Pastor Waldo at 6 p.m.

Sunday morning services begin with breakfast at 10:30, following by the service at 11.

The second Sunday of each month, church members attend a fellowship service that rotates between churches in Silver City and sometimes, even going as far as Las Cruces or El Paso."

When asked how he got involved in the church, he said a friend introduced him to the church. When Greulach was moving, Pastor Waldo help with the move. "Since then I have become active in the church with tech work and public relations type word. We are a closeknit group, almost like family as a smaller congregation, but growing under Pastor Waldo and his wife Debra's leadership. But there is always room for growth and people who seek a Christ-centered church to worship the Lord and to grow. Also, the church has recently acquired more space in the form of the former Agape Academy school and are discussing plans for the building but nothing solid yet."
