Silver City, NM- Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument welcomes three new National Park Service Park Rangers to park staffing.

Monument Superintendent Kevin Tillman is pleased to announce the addition of two park guides and an education technician to the Gila Cliff Dwellings staff. These permanent positions will allow Gila Cliff Dwellings to offer more educational program, both at the Monument and in regional classrooms. The additional permanent staff will also provide more interpretive programs for the visiting public and increase park presence at regional public outreach events.

Blake Metcalf joined the Gila Cliff Dwellings Team as a park guide. Andrea Eide will focus on classrooms and outreach as the educational technician; and Stephanie Schneider will add her interpretive skills to the team as a park guide as well.

Volunteers will continue to be a vital part of the staff at the Cliff Dwellings. The addition of permanent staff provides more services for the public on a more consistent basis. For volunteering opportunities or more information, please call: (575)536-9461,
