STAR Scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year was presented to Marley Williams, graduating senior at Cliff High School. The $2500 scholarship was presented at the school awards ceremony by Kris Heck and Julia Miller, members of Chapter AG. Marley is the daughter of Cody Williams and Riley Olsen and was recommended for this scholarship by Chapter AG of Silver City. Williams has been accepted and will attend the University of Arizona where she has plans to study pre-med beginning this fall.

The P.E.O. Sisterhood, founded January 21, 1869, is an international philanthropic and educational organization which promotes increased educational opportunities for women. It has provided over $304 million in financial assistance to more than 102, 000 recipients. Local Chapter AG raises funds each fall by selling pecans for this and other educational programs.
