The Rotary Club of Silver City has installed new officers for the 2018-19 year. They are: Peter Herzberg, President; Francisca Reyes, President-Elect; Linda Telaak, Secretary/Treasurer, and Jim Tindall, Sergeant-at-Arms.
The Rotary Club of Silver City selects projects and programs annually to benefit our local and global communities. In the past year, Rotary community projects have included providing books to kindergarten students in Grant County, planting trees and supporting the installation of a water catchment system at the Commons, home of the Volunteer Center of Grant County as well as providing scholarships to local students. The Club is also raising funds to help Rotary International's PolioPlus Program to eradicate polio around the world, and collaborating with other clubs in New Mexico on various projects to provide health care and clean water in the central highlands region of Guatemala.
In the coming year, the club plans a number of youth-oriented projects, more community service projects and the continued involvement in international projects.

Since its founding in 1923, the Silver City Rotary Club has provided support and service to numerous non-profit organizations and civic causes in Silver City and Grant County as well as supporting and participating in humanitarian projects sponsored by Rotary International.
