First Presbyterian Church of Silver City has created a Mitten Tree, decorated with gloves, hats and jackets to be donated to the children staying at El Refugio, the Silver City Pre-K School children and the children being helped by our local Children, Youth and Families Department. The Church’s mission focus this year is to help where the needs of children and poverty intersect. Earlier this year 1st Presbyterian donated 27 filled backpacks to CYFD, and collected school supplies for Stout Elementary and children staying at El Refugio.

Church members and friends have almost covered the Mitten Tree! Items will be collected until December 14. All are invited to bring things to the church on Sunday mornings, or Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m.- noon and 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.
