They were Leticia Obar, Maria Elena Sanchez, Angie Garcia and Shelley Topmiller.  The theme for this year’s convention was Super Sisterhood which was carried out with superhero decorations. The ladies of Preceptor Tau participated in several activities including a Super Sister Blastoff mixer, a Wonder Woman Brunch with guest Speaker Laura Ross Wingfield. Laura is the granddaughter of the Founder of Beta Sigma Phi. Her job at the International Headquarters for Beta Sigma Phi is the CEO and President of the Executive Council.

Other activities included a paint party, dress as your favorite superhero, door decorating contest, Super Sparkling Sisterhood Dinner, Yellow Rose of Beta Sigma phi Breakfast and a most impressive closing ritual.

The Preceptor Tau members participated in all activities and received an award for Best Spirit from Laura Ross Wingfield.  The ladies dressed alike for the mixer wearing their superman t-shirts and cape. For the morning brunch, they wore their convention shirts and for the evening dinner they wore matching yellow shirts with black pants with a yellow scarf and a yellow rose corsage.  Wherever the ladies were everyone knew they were from Silver City. They meet many other sorority sisters from through out the state and bonded new friendships.

The event sparked new enthusiasm into the ladies and they are excited to bring back new ideas to their own chapter and area.  More than a hundred sorority sisters attended this year’s convention which was a Super success.
