In 2012 the Murray Hotel located at 200 West Broadway in Silver City, New Mexico reopened, after standing vacant for twenty years, with 50 hotel rooms having been renovated. During the most recent renovation of the hotel, originally built in 1938, the fifth floor of the five-story hotel was not renovated. Currently the fifth floor of the building, that originally had hotel rooms, is being reconfigured to make rental apartments. The apartments are expected to be available for occupancy by August. At the High View Apartments at the Murray Hotel there are fifteen units with multiple floor plans. The least expensive unit is the unfurnished 197 square foot studio apartment for $800. In addition there are furnished studio apartments, one bedroom, one bath apartments and two bedroom, two bath apartments. All units include internet access, water and electricity.
