Notice of Job Vacancy

ANIMAL CONTROL/CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER 

The City of Bayard is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Humane Officer/Code Enforcement Officer. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid NM Driver’s License. Applicant must be free of physical impairments that would prevent performance of duties. Animal Control job duties are for patrolling city areas to enforce animal control ordinances and related laws, rules and regulations. Code Enforcement job duties are to enforce and maintain municipal ordinances, rules and regulations.

Applicant should have the ability to understand and interpret regulations, laws and ordinances which deal with enforcement duties. Very good customer service skills are a must. Applicant must have the ability to make and prepare verbal presentations and must be able to effectively maintain case files and supporting evidence of violations.
