NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Silver Consolidated School Board of Education Work Session scheduled for Monday, February 18, 2019, has been changed to Monday, February 25, 2019 in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 2810 North Swan Street, Silver City, New Mexico, at 5:30 p.m.

The purpose for the meeting will be to allow the Board opportunity for general discussion and review of pertinent matters that require their attention and direction. The Board may elect to go into executive session pursuant to 10-15-1, H-1 through H-9, NMSA, 1978.

LEGAL NOTICE
The Town of Silver City Council will hold a Special Council meeting on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. at the Grant County Administration Center, 1400 Hwy 180 East, Silver City, NM. The public is invited to attend. Action items on the agenda will include:

City of Bayard

Chief of Police

The City of Bayard is accepting applications for the position of Chief of Police. Applicant must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong community leadership and interpersonal characteristics and solid planning and decision making abilities. The Chief is responsible for a department encompassing all aspects of municipal law enforcement including patrol, investigations, telecommunications, policing and management functions including staffing, budgeting, purchasing, coordinating training and preparation of reports. Applicant must be certified with the New Mexico Department of Public Safety, hold an Associate Degree in Administration of Justice or Police Science or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of experience in a supervisory position. Must provide a copy of education diploma and valid New Mexico driver’s license. Applicant must be free of physical impairments that would prevent performance of duties. Applicants will undergo thorough background investigations, interviews and psychological testing, as well as a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Fringe benefits include annual and sick leave, group health insurance and PERA retirement.

QUORUM NOTICE

A quorum of the Grant County Board of Commissioners may attend the 2019 New Mexico Counties (NMC) Legislative Conference and Scheduled Events Tuesday, January 15, 2019 – Thursday, January 17, 2019.  The Conference and Scheduled Events will be held at the following locations: Eldorado Hotel and Spa, 309 W. San Francisco St., Santa Fe, NM 87501 * Drury Plaza Hotel, 828 Paseo del Peralta, Santa Fe, NM 87501 * Santa Fe Community Convention Center, 201 W. Marcy St., Santa Fe, NM 87501.  This is not a formal meeting of the Grant County Commission and no action will be taken.
