SOUTHWESTERN COUNTY COMMISSION ALLIANCE (SWCCA)
The Southwestern County Commission Alliance (SWCCA) will convene in a Regular Meeting on Monday, December 4, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Grant County Veterans Memorial Conference Center located at 3031 Highway 180 East, Silver City, NM 88061. Action may be taken on behalf of SWCCA. The agenda for this meeting may be altered up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting; copies can be obtained from each participating County Manager’s Office or viewed online at www.grantcountynm.com. If you are an individual with a disability in need of a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter or any other form of auxiliary aide or service to attend or participate in the meeting or hearing, please contact the Grant County Manager at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico at least one (1) week prior to the meeting or as soon as possible. A quorum of Commissioners from Grant, Luna, Hidalgo, Caron, Sierra and Socorro Counties may attend and participate in this meeting.

Notice of Job Vacancy

ANIMAL CONTROL/CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER 

The City of Bayard is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Humane Officer/Code Enforcement Officer. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid NM Driver’s License. Applicant must be free of physical impairments that would prevent performance of duties. Animal Control job duties are for patrolling city areas to enforce animal control ordinances and related laws, rules and regulations. Code Enforcement job duties are to enforce and maintain municipal ordinances, rules and regulations.

Applicant should have the ability to understand and interpret regulations, laws and ordinances which deal with enforcement duties. Very good customer service skills are a must. Applicant must have the ability to make and prepare verbal presentations and must be able to effectively maintain case files and supporting evidence of violations.

The Grant County Administrative Offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 23 and 24, 2017 in observance of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, November 27, 2017.
