Albuquerque – The Republican Party of New Mexico made the following statement after Albuquerque voters defeated the so-called 'Healthy Workforce' ordinance.

"This job-killing measure was drafted by New York attorneys and supported by politicians like Tim Keller who would rather advance a progressive agenda than move Albuquerque forward," said RPNM Chairman Ryan Cangiolosi. "Voters made the right decision by voting against a measure that would have hurt our city when we could least afford it and hurt the small businesses that are the backbone of our economy."

"This is a win for workers and small businesses and an embarrassing loss for Tim Keller. He owes voters an explanation for his support of an unpopular ordinance that would have driven jobs out of Albuquerque."
