The House passed legislation that allows veterans’ access to doctors outside of the Veterans Affairs system. All three New Mexico house members voted in the affirmative on this critical piece of legislation. The Republican Party of New Mexico stands with President Trump as he calls on the members of the Senate to put veteran’s needs ahead of partisan politics.

“We implore Senators Udall and Heinrich to follow Congressman Steve Pearce’s lead and pass this critical piece of legislation that will ensure greater access to care for veterans here in New Mexico,” said Ryan Cangiolosi, chairman of the Republican Party of New Mexico. "The care and wellbeing of our veterans throughout the country is not a partisan issue, nor should politics play a role in ensuring expanded access to medical providers for those who have worn the uniform.”
