Dear friends,

As we celebrate the Fourth of July with our family and friends let us ever be mindful of the brave men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces who are stationed across the globe defending and protecting the freedoms we enjoy today.

In a piece by David Epstein he writes, "What bedrock principles and values would you like to pass on to your descendants?"

My answer: Integrity is not negotiable; never stop learning; cling to the aspirations of the Declaration of Independence and defend the restraints of the Constitution; salute the flag, and pass along these values to the next generation."

Let's never forget the principles he eloquently lays out and these words from the Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
