Congressional Voting Record - NAM - National Association of Manufacturing

As the state affiliate for the National Association of Manufacturing, the New Mexico Business Coalition is glad to have reliable ratings for New Mexico’s Congressional delegation in regards to supporting manufacturing, job creation and economy building positions.

These scores tell a lot and most are painful to review. From the 115th Congress:

Michelle Lujan Grisham, District 1 – 19%
Congressman Steve Pearce, District 2 - 96%.
Ben Lujan, District 3 – 11%

Tom Udall – 18%
Martin Heinrich – 27%

Governor Race

Recap:

1) Michelle Lujan-Grisham plans to increase distributions from the Land Grant Permanent Fund (LGPF) above the economist recommended levels. Proven recommendations not to exceed 5% distributions will lead to the fund’s destruction over time.
Lujan-Grisham also plans to raise the state’s mandated minimum wage, which often leads to increased prices for goods and services. Employers who can't afford the new wage rates will go out of business or cut positions to survive. New Mexico will see fewer jobs as kiosks and self-checkouts replace people.
2) Steve Pearce will leave the LGPF distribution at current distribution rates so that the fund will grow in perpetuity. This will lead to an annual distribution from this fund alone of $1 Billion for education and other beneficiaries in the near future. At that rate, the fund will continue to grow and provide increased distributions.
Pearce will keep minimum wage requirements as they are, which will help keep prices down and small businesses operating. Rather than increasing the minimum wage, he plans to improve opportunities for workers at this wage rate through apprenticeship and other job training. This would include providing job requirements for able-bodied individuals who are currently receiving government assistance.

Judicial Race
Some judges have received a "Do Not Retain" recommendation by Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission (JPEC), regardless of applause from both citizens and police on decisions they have made regarding criminals requiring a bond to be released. Read more on this here.
