Silver City, NM ' The annual CLAY Poker Fundraiser is back and will include a pre-poker training for newbies wishing to learn the game. And, if you are a new participant and attend the pre-poker training, you can knock off $10 from the tournament ticket! Pre-poker is free and will take place a couple of weeks prior to the tournament on Friday, July 14 from 5-8pm in the back room at the LittleToad Creek Brewery. Local poker aficionado Cindy Gagnon will teach Texas Hold GÇÿEm style poker to those who attend; please arrive at 5pm for the full training.

Are you interested in being a dealer during the CLAY Poker Fundraiser? A second training for those interested in dealing will be held on Friday, July 21st - please email info@clayfestival.com.

The Texas Hold GÇÿEm style tournament will take place on Saturday, July 29 and will be geared towards donations and fun - not the risk of wagering. Donated prizes from local businesses will be awarded to the top ten players. First place is a week-long getaway at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona! All donations will be used to support the CLAY Festival and its efforts towards increasing artistic, cultural, and economic sustainability in Southwest New Mexico.
