Take a bite out of downtown Silver City on Labor Day weekend, as chefs serve up their culinary delights! Walk around downtown on Saturday, September 2 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and get delightful tastes from fourteen eateries plus free drinks. This annual event benefits the Silver City MainStreet program.

This year we have fourteen eateries plus free drinks for ticket holders are also included and will be available at the Taste of Downtown headquarters in front of the Market Café. This event was planned in collaboration with the Southwest Print Fiesta. The Print Fiesta is not having food vendors this year, so the Taste of Downtown is a perfect compliment to the Fiesta. Enjoy the Print Fiesta and have a fun lunchtime with great tastes from downtown eateries.

Some of the tastes to be enjoyed are shrimp cocktail, salted caramel brownies, gazpacho, muffins and scones, meatballs, and caramel corn to name a few of the delicious tastes that will be served.
Silver City MainStreet is grateful to the participating eateries for their support!

Patrick Hoskins, MainStreet Board President states, "Funds raised by this event go to support MainStreet activities that include beautification projects and programs and projects that encourage residents and tourists to visit downtown Silver City. A favorite event is the Lighted Christmas Parade that is produced by Silver City MainStreet."

Tickets for the Taste of Downtown can be purchased at The Place at 201 N. Bullard St, the Visitor Center on Hudson Street or online at www.silvercitymainstreet.com. Tickets are $20 each.

The mission of Silver City MainStreet is "To encourage a vibrant, historic downtown Silver City which is recognized as the heart of our diverse community." Please visit our website, www.silvercitymainstreet.com to learn more.
