2017 rotary auction and gala rsThe October 7 Gala and Benefit Auction by the Silver City Rotary Club in partnership with First American Bank will present more than $50,000 worth of goods and services. Items will range from jewelry to furniture, electronics, trips, and cruises, and even a vintage 1981 Porsche 928.

Most of the items will be offered in a silent auction, but the excitement will build when some of the high profile offerings go on the auction block in a live auction. These include a Holland America Line cruise, the Porsche 928, a diamond ring and a sapphire ring, and an opportunity for two adults to visit a Fox Sports NFL Sunday Pregame Show with Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan and others.

The Auction, which is scheduled at the Grant County Veterans Memorial Conference Center on Highway 180 in Silver City from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Saturday, October 7th, is being supported by a number of local organizations. In addition to the primary partnership support by First American Bank, the following have provided lead sponsorships: Freeport McMoRan, Holland America Line, WNM Communications, and the Silver City Daily Press. Additional major sponsors are Gila Regional Medical Center, W & N Enterprises, and J & J Signs.

Restaurant sponsors will provide tastes of their signature dishes. Offering food and drink samples will be: Adobe Springs Café, Brewer Hill Catering, Café Oso Azul @ Bear Mountain Lodge, Deming Coca-Cola, Diane's Restaurant, El Gallo Pinto, Kountry Kitchen, La Bonita Bakery, Millie's Bake House, Shevek's Casuals! Oh My!, Sodexo, Vicki's Eatery, The Volunteer Center of Grant County, and Wrangler's Bar & Grill. There will also be a cash bar.

Admission to the Auction is $20. Tickets can be obtained from any Silver City Rotarian, at Western Bank and online at www.silvercityrotary.org. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.

The Auction will benefit projects undertaken by Life Quest, the Gila Valley Library, and the Silver City Gospel Mission. Past auctions have brought a significant boost to each of their beneficiary organizations, and the Club hopes that this year's effort will bring similar support for the sponsored projects.
