Planning has begun for this year’s Wreaths Across America Day at Fort Bayard National Cemetery which will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 to remember veterans over the Christmas holiday season.

Last year over 1.2 million wreaths were placed at 1250 participating locations across the United States and overseas, including Arlington National Cemetery where the project was originated.

The mission of Wreaths Across America, a 501©3 organization since 2007, is to “remember, honor, and teach.” Remember the fallen, honor those who serve, including their families who sacrifice, and teach our children the cost of the freedoms we enjoy each day.

Won’t you please join other individuals, organizations and businesses who are helping by sponsoring wreaths to place at Fort Bayard cemetery markers this December? Each wreath costs $15; however, for every two wreaths purchased, an additional third wreath will be provided to the cemetery.

To order a wreath or wreaths, or for more information, call 538-2626.
