The halls are decked, the cookies are baking, and musicians are tuning up their Christmas Carols for the Silver City Museum's 33rd Annual Victorian Christmas open house on Thursday, December 14, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. This event has been made possible by the continued support from First American Bank.
Entertainment in the holiday spirit will be presented throughout the evening. The event will feature live music performed by:
Gleemaiden from 5:30 to 6:00 PM,
Amos Torres from 6:00 to 6:30 PM,
Silver Chorale from 6:30 to 7:00 PM,
Gila Highlanders from 7:00 to 7:30 PM, and
The Concert Band of the Southwest brass section from 7:30 to 8:00 PM.
Children of all ages will be delighted by a special visit from Father Christmas, teamed up with Literacy Link-Leamos to share gifts and books, and are invited to participate in hands-on activities. This year, holiday goers will be able to create their own cornucopia Christmas ornament to take home. Delicious cookies and cider will be available for your enjoyment, while staff in period clothing would be happy to take a picture with you. The Museum Society Store is stocked with stocking stuffers that will bring a smile to your face, with helpful elves ready to gift wrap your Christmas purchases.
Guests are also invited to explore the 50th Anniversary of the Silver City Museum in the exhibition Fifty Years Ago in Silver City, as well as the semi-permanent exhibitions on the second floor.
The 33rd Annual Victorian Christmas is generously supported by First American Bank. Thank you to First American Bank for making this event magical.
