Silver City, NM – Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region invites everyone to come boogie down at the biggest disco bowling party in town.

BOWL FOR KIDS' SAKE is a campaign to raise funds and awareness in support of matching children (Littles) with volunteers (Bigs) through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. This event brings individuals and companies together to bowl and have fun while also securing needed donations of support.

This year's Bowl for Kids' Sake is taking on the disco days of the 1970s. Sign up at www.bbbsmountainregion.org/bfks. Fundraisers can start a team, join a team, become a virtual bowler, or make a donation to a Big and Little team so they can bowl. Each bowler must raise $100 or more, or $500 or more for a team of 5. That's 5 friends pledging $20 each, 10 friends pledging $10 each.

Once donations are in, it's time for our bowlers to come celebrate their fundraising success and all the good they are doing for local youth. It's not about how well our fundraisers bowl, it's about helping kids while having fun. Participants might even win a prize for a gutter ball. Bowlers will enjoy some free food, music, costumes, prizes… and, of course, bowling.

The bowl celebration takes place Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Silver Bowling Center at 1:00 pm (check in starting at 12:30 pm). There are prizes for best costumes and most team spirit. Donations can be made to help a Big and Little reach their fundraising goal, to become a virtual bowler, sponsor the event, or volunteer time at an event.
