Silver City, NM — Once again Clay Festival is holding a Juried Exhibition judged by featured artist Julia Galloway. This year's theme distinguishes itself from past events when entries consisted of two components, a vessel and a tile and this year we are limiting the exhibition to "Only A Vessel." Each artist was invited to submit entries of his or her interpretation(s) of a vessel. Artists are not limited in design or functionality, but the main judging categories will be "fanciful" or "functional."

Thursday July, 19, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Seedboat Gallery, a reception will be held in conjunction with the Juried Exhibition. The reception will feature hors d'oeuvres from Chef King Crowder (Duck Stop) and wine and beer from La Esperanza Winery. Marko Fields, winner of last year's exhibition award, will speak about his art and artistic process. The winners of this year's competition will also be announced.
