This year the Gila Native Plant Society is hosting the annual conference of the state organization, the Native Plant Society of New Mexico. It's a three-day affair with field trips, workshops and presentations. The registration fee includes a reception, two lunches and a banquet. Registration is not limited to NPSNM members but is open to anyone interested in the natural history of the Gila region.

Although the conference is taking place September 7-9, 2018, the registration fee increases as of August 1, which is why we are trying to alert the public to it before the end of July. Also, when participants register they reserve their three field trips/workshops, and the sooner they do it, the more likely they are to secure their preferred choices.

For all the information on the conference and the registration form, go to https://www.npsnm.org/events/2018-annual-conference/. You may register by mail or online.

Opportunities for a scholarship to the conference are available for students and interns – check out https://www.npsnm.org/conference-scholarship/

A pdf with the full information on the conference is attached, the same information that is available online on the state NPSNM website (www.npsnm.org).
