Kathy and Timothy Dick, singers and songwriters known as Auld Lang Syne will be performing November 4 at noon at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City, 3845 N. Swan Street. The musicians write and sing heartfelt and passionate songs celebrating nature and also address the complexities created when human nature intersects with Mother Nature.

The duo, based out of Rochester, New York are traveling with their family and will make a stop in Silver City. With Timothy on acoustic guitar and Kathy on accordion, the Rochester City Newspaper says “As multi-instrumentalists, the Dicks primarily worked as a duo to record “The Last of the Honeybees,” but achieved the same richness of sound of a larger band.”

Of another album, “Kokopelli” Timothy Dick said, "Nature isn't just the scenery that's around us. We're a part of it. Oddly enough, I think we have to unlearn things that we've learned in order to remember that we're a part of nature. So a lot of the songs on 'Kokopelli' have to do with unlearning."

Snacks will be served and your donations will be greatly appreciated. You can hear samples of their music at here.
