Thursday January 24 Grant County Community Concert Association will host Vocal Trash, an urban-themed Broadway style production that performs on custom instruments made from recycled materials.

In keeping with Vocal Trash’s message of peace, love, recycling, and anti-bullying, GCCCA is partnering with the Silver City Public Library’s kids programs, Little Artist Club and WildWorks, to decorate the lobby of WNMU’s Fine Arts Theater with creations made of recycled material.  During the school district’s winter break and into early January kids participating in the library’s programs will use a variety of materials to make sculptures and art decorations.  The child or team in each program that makes the most creative art piece will receive complementary tickets to the evening concert so they can bring their parents.

The overall idea is to imagine a world where the items we love can live forever through recycling and up-cycling.
