Copper Country Senior Olympics was selected by New Mexico Senior Olympics Board as one of the strongest groups in New Mexico. They host this year's Torch Run Kick Off in Silver City on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Gough Park. Celebrate and wish the athletes that qualified from Grant County the best of luck in the National Games in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Qualified athletes will be carrying the torch as well as inter-generational group.  

The run will take place beginning at Gough Park, up College Ave to Cooper St, down Broadway and Bullard Streets and back to Gough Park.   

There will be a reception with food, drinks and entertainment. National and State teams as well as local dignitaries will also speak.
