New Mexico is the oldest wine country in America by about 200 years with the first vines planted in 1629 by Spanish settlers. The state’s history of wine is as rich and complicated as its landscape, which is reflected in the wines. Today the industry produces tens of thousands of gallons of wine annually, adding millions of dollars to the state’s revenue.

From robust reds to crisp whites and everything in between, there’s something for all wine enthusiasts at the Silver City Wine Festival. Come savor a glass in the beautiful splendor of the Gila Wilderness.
