Silver City, NM, August 1, 2019 -- Smokey Bear is celebrating a milestone birthday and wants you to be there. The celebration is on August 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., at Bataan Memorial Park, near Fort Bayard, NM.

The Gila National Forest invites you to participate in celebrating the legacy of Smokey Bear’s reaching his 75th Birthday. Come share the food, the fun, and friends! You can help make this party extra special and snap a few selfies with our favorite birthday bear, see the 25-foot Smokey Bear balloon, and collect a little Smokey memorabilia.
