A Pop-Up Gallery featuring the original textile art of five members of the SW Women's Fiber Art Collective will be open Saturday, August 31 at 400 N. Bullard Street. SWFAC members Vicki Gadberry, Tina Salmon, Kathy Cole, Vicki Sanow and Suzanne Ens bring their diverse fiber art for one day on the corner near Soul River Gallery. This is the second of only 3 pop-ups featuring exclusively textile arts.

Fiber art featured will be hand knits, including garments and wonderfully creative creatures by Tina Salmon, Kathy Cole's contemporary quilted pieces, Vicki Sanow's wearable knits, Vicki Gadberry's fine hand dyed garments and fiber art cards worthy of framing, and Suzanne Ens fabulous eclectic fiber art pieces.

Each fiber art piece is unique, hand crafted and affordable! It's a don't miss event and fits well with the downtown Love Local promotion and the Taste of Downtown, also happening Saturday, August 31.

The Southwest Women’s Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) was founded March 2005. SWFAC is a grassroots all-volunteer nonprofit 501c(3) organization with a goal of stimulating and supporting successful cottage industry in the southwest. SWFAC has a successful history of providing means to earn income in our remote community. To date SWFAC has helped its members earn more than $200k.

SWFAC’s mission is to celebrate fiber art and realize its economic potential. To that end, SWFAC nurtures and empowers fiber artists in all skill and career levels, in turn enriching the community with opportunities to experience, learn and earn.
