Dear Grant Countians:

My name is Randy J. Hernandez and I am excited to announce my candidacy to run for Grant County Clerk.

About Me
I am a native Grant Countian and have deep roots in this community and I am proud to call Grant County home. My mother Liz (Llamas) Hernandez, and my father, the late Michael R. Hernandez are also native Grant Countians. I have one sibling, Lynette Hernandez and one nephew, Ryan. Both my immediate and extended family are no strangers to public service, as we understand the importance and commitment it takes working hard and representing the people of Grant County.

I have been in public service nearly seventeen (17) years, working in various capacities in County government. I worked as an intern in 2007 in the County Manager's Office, and in 2008 as a Deputy Clerk (temporary) in the Clerk's Office. In January of 2009, I began full-time employment with the County Manager's Office and have remained a proactive team member and leader. My career in public service has provided me many opportunities and the experience to grow both personally and professionally, as well as gain extensive knowledge of the multi-faceted levels of government operations. Above all, providing customer service has been, and remains, my greatest privilege. I currently serve as Director with the Grant County Planning and Community Development Department.

About My Campaign
I strongly believe and understand the importance of building and maintaining positive relationships with other elected officials, County administration, local businesses, and the public we serve. The mission of the County Clerk's Office is to maintain superior quality in the archiving of records, providing convenient public access to the office and the public's records, promoting trust and confidence during the electoral processes, and serving as the Ex-Officio Clerk for both the Board of County Commissioners and Probate Judge. I commit to upholding this mission to its fullest extent while bringing positive leadership, innovative ideas and goals, actively engaging with the community, and making positive efforts in providing efficient, courteous, professional and accessible customer service within all facets of the office. Therefore, I humbly ask for your vote on the June 4, 2024, Primary Election to serve as your next County Clerk.
