Brundage Named New VP For Student Affairs and Enrollment Management

Silver City, NM - Western New Mexico University President Shepard announced today that Isaac Brundage will serve as the next Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.

 

Brundage joins WNMU after serving more than three years as Director of Community Outreach for Florida Gulf Coast University. In that capacity, he oversaw campus-wide efforts to increase student enrollment and retention especially for underserved and underrepresented populations. At FGCU, Brundage was responsible for enhancing the University's visibility and working directly with the Financial Aid Office to successfully package student awards and scholarship monies.

 

“I am very excited about the opportunity and looking forward to coming to WNMU,” said Brundage. “I look forward to working with the faculty, staff and students there and I am encouraged in moving Dr. Shepard's vision forward and promoting the mission of WNMU.”

 

Prior to his current position, Brundage served as Ombudsman and Assistant to the President at FGCU. His other work experiences include serving as Director for the Housing and Residence Life Office at Florida A&M University and Coordinator of the College Reach Out Program at FGCU.

 

“Given WNMU's commitment to our students, our desire to be more integrated within the surrounding communities including our extended centers, and our focus on being an open-access institution, Mr. Brundage provides an outstanding acumen to lead the areas of student affairs and enrollment services,” said Shepard. “He is one of the best in the business and I look forward to his leadership helping to transform our university.”

 

Active in his community, Brundage has served on several boards including the Blanchard House Historical Museum, St. Johns First Missionary Baptist Church, Immokalee Chamber of Commerce, Quality Life Center of Southwest Florida, and Jack Hadley Black History Museum.

 

Brundage earned a Masters of Educational Leadership degree and Specialist of Education in Educational Leadership degree from FGCU. His Bachelor of Science in Biology and Education was earned at Florida A&M University.
