Cliff, GRANT COUNTY,NM---

The Grant County Sheriff's Department is actively investigating a death that occurred yesterday at Bill Evans Lake.

On July 01, 2017, just before 11:30 a.m., Grant County Sheriff's Department deputies were dispatched to Bill Evans Lake (Cliff, New Mexico) in reference to a body found in the lake. Deputies arrived on scene and located the deceased male's body on the Northwest area of the lake.`^`

Detectives from the Grant County Sheriff's Department responded to continue the investigation. Witnesses were interviewed. Investigation is ongoing.

The deceased male has been identified as Danny Facio Paz/41 YOA/Bayard, New Mexico). Next of kin has been notified. Body was sent to the Office of the Medical Investigators.
