The Huey helicopter, which rises above the Forgotten Veterans Memorial at Bataan Memorial Park on the road to Fort Bayard, needs to be repainted.
Members of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 358, who have built and maintain the memorial, sought donations to complete the task. When they approached First American Bank, the bank agreed to foot the entire bill.
On Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, three members of the VVA accepted the check from Silver City First American Bank Market President Joel Schram and Vice President Lending Officer Cecilia Pacheco.
