More than 200 people gathered at the Grant County Veterans Memorial Business and Conference Center on Thursday evening, Aug. 17, 2017, to celebrate their participation in this year’s Senior Olympic games. After the call to order, Presentation of Colors, and other opening remarks, banquet-goers enjoyed a dinner of brisket, corn, beans and rice and dessert.
After the dinner, Keynote Speakers, State Senator Howie Morales and Eddie Joe Montes, spoke about the value of the Senior Olympics. Medalists were recognized and honored, as well as supporters and other participants.
