The Commons holds Harvest Festival 101417

The Volunteer Center, housed at The Commons, hosted a Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. Inside the building, people talked seeds, saving and sharing, In the commercial kitchen, pancakes made of mesquite flour, white corn and blue corn flour were available for the tasting. Also inside, was a cider press, with people cutting up apples to put into the press.

Outside, other picked out the best mesquite pods to mill with a donated hammer mill.
