Gila Regional Medical Center has always been a popular stop on the trick or treaters path, but this year, the hospital went above and beyond. A trunk or treat took over a good part of the main parking lot, with vehicles and tables set up around the perimeter of the festivities. People parked across the street, so traffic on 32nd Street was also slowed by the streams of adults and kids in costumes crossing to visit the various sites where booth and trunk participants handed out many thousands of pieces of candy.
