One of the requirements for students at Aldo Leopold Charter School is to do an internship at various local businesses or to work on one of six Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) crews. Thirty-five students worked on these crews and the remaining students learned various skills by working with mentors in careers such as information technology, physical therapy, elementary school education, engineering, veterinarian care, welding, and architecture. The interns gave presentations about their experiences in these various fields, and what they learned from their mentors. Here are a few of the students who interned in businesses around Silver City, with their presentations.
