The Silver City Museum is hosting a traveling exhibit on Flamenco: From Spain to New Mexico. The opening reception held on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, featured not only the exhibit in the museum, with flamenco dresses and men's suits in the main exhibit hall at the museum at 312 W. Broadway, but also across the street in the old Post Office Building, visitors had the treat of seeing Flamenco dancers and the music that goes along with the tradition.

At the museum, a hanging rack of traditional dress is available for visitors to try on and see if they have what it takes to play the castanets and dance at the same time.

The exhibit has been organized by the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe and is touring through GuestCurator Traveling Exhibitions, with generous support by Heritage Hotels and Resorts. For the most up to date information on the exhibit and hands-on activities relating to the event, please visit www.silvercitymuseum.org or call 575.538.5921.
