According to a recording on the town of Silver City Utilities Department secretary's phone, a major water main connecting to the water tanks on W Mountain has ruptured.

The recording said the the area impacted includes property north of 32nd Street, including Indian Hills and up to Wendy Road along Pinos Altos Road.

The town is working to fix the broken connection. The latest news is that is should be repaired by about 8 p.m.
