The annual chocoholic's dream day occurred in Silver City on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 just in time for Valentine's Day. The event, hosted by Mimbres Region Arts Council and manned by many volunteers, takes place in downtown Silver City, this year in 29 venues.
The homemade chocolates are also created by volunteers, who vie for best chocolate. The theme this year was "Travel through Time." Sites also compete for the best decorated venue, fitting the theme. The full list of winners, with photos will be in a future article.
The event sold out with close to 400 tickets having been purchased at $25 for 20 chocolates. Funds support MRAC's various art-centered programs.
